A proud Rochester native, Melanie is deeply committed to creating a more equitable future for the community she loves.

Her work centers on collaboration and breaking down barriers—connecting people, advancing career pathways, and fostering environments where diverse voices and perspectives can thrive. She is particularly passionate about ensuring youth are exposed early to the full range of educational and career options available after high school, so they feel informed, inspired, and empowered to shape their own futures.

In her current work, Melanie supports regional innovation efforts, including the NY SMART I-Corridor Tech Hub, helping align employers, educators, and community partners around emerging technologies, workforce development, and inclusive economic growth.

Her greatest love is her husband and their four children, who motivate her every day to help build a community where all young people can dream big and pursue their goals with confidence.
